Press Release Summary: University of Florida Canine Researcher, Dr. Clive Wynne discusses his research into claims that some dogs have the telepathic ability to know when their owners are coming home.
Press Release Body: Del Mar, CA, July 4, 2008 -- Join Alex Tsakiris for an interview with Dr. Clive Wynne on telepathy research, psychic dogs, and the science education. During the 30-minute interview Wynne expresses hope that his investigation into this controversial area of science can energize science education:
I feel a need to find ways to convey to people the excitement, the creativity, of science. .People love discovery, you know, think of this Indiana Jones. I mean, the story of making a discovery is a rich story that everybody relates to. So, how come I, myself, turn off science programs when they come on television because I don't get that sense of the excitement of discovery. It just doesn't come across."
Wynne also discusses his participation the www.dogsthatknow.com research project aimed at replicating Dr. Rupert Sheldrake's animal telepathy research.
A complete transcript of the interview is available at: http://www.skeptiko.com/blog/?p=25.
Dr. Clive Wynne is Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Florida, and author of, Do Animals Think? He also directs the Canine Cognition & Behavior Lab in Gainesville, Florida.
